Amanda Arrou-tea (1990) is originally from San Sebastián, a coastal city in the Basque Country, in northern
Spain.
She studied Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Basque Country University, specializing in audiovisual arts. Thanks to the Erasmus scholarship, she transferred her fourth year to L 'École Superieur des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux, France, where her passion for painting began. To complete her studies, she was awarded the Seneca scholarship and this time she moved to Seville (Spain) to specialize in painting. In the same city, she joined a diploma in Museography, Museology and Artisitic Legislation provided by the University of Seville.
For six months she is the assistant director of the Altxerri contemporary art gallery in San Sebastian, Spain.
In 2015 she changed her life moving to Mérida, Mexico where she joined the Diploma in Cultural Management and Marketing offered by Universidad Modelo, Mexico, obtaining the second best average. Simultaneously, she was an online student of the Management and Direction of Art Galleries diploma from the University of Barcelona.
During her Mexican adventure she was the director of the Noox group's headquarters in Mérida, Yucatán, promoting new artists from all over the world.
After Mexico she moved to Berlin, Germany, where she currently lives, creates and develops several artistic projects
